Amelia and I wanted to say, "THANK YOU!" to all of our amazing customers over the last 4 years. We are entering a new season in our lives and the business will be under new ownership this week. We have truly loved sharing your daughters most special moments! The new owner, Elsy Leistenschneider, is super amazing! Great with kids, a Spanish teacher in the St. Johns County schools and a super special baker/creative party planner. We are confident she will make girly-girl partea's even more unforgettable!!!

We are hosting parties in Greater Jacksonville, Jacksonville Beaches, Ponte Vedra Beach, St.Augustine, Orange Park and surrounding areas.

~Policies and Terms of Service

Reservations: Please call to schedule your party 3-4 weeks in advance of your desired party date. Once you have chosen a party date and time, we will hold your reservation for one week to give you time to complete the guest list, sign the party agreement, and return it to us with your deposit. Your deposit will secure your reservation.

Deposit: A non-refundable $75 deposit within 7 days of reservation is required to secure your party date.

Forms of Payment: We accept cash, check or money orders made payable to girly-girl parteas. Credit Cards may be used upon request, this will be paid through Paypal and a 5% processing fee will be added to your balance. The balance of the party is due seven days prior to the party date. In the case of a returned check, a $35.00 Return check fee will be added to your bill.

RSVP Confirmation: Please contact us at least 7 days prior to your party to confirm your final guest count. This will be the number we use to determine appropriate quantities for costumes, favors, crafts, personalized sashes, and food (if applicable) and we will charge accordingly.

Travel Fee: A travel fee of $0.75 for every mile traveled after 15 miles from our home base will be added to the final balance. We do not travel more than 30 miles from our home base. Distance is calculated from our home base using mapQuest.

Guest Attire: Please have the girls come prepared wearing a leotard, slip dress or bathing suit under their party attire. Our party guests do not get undressed during our parties, this helps while we change into our costumes. This applies to our princess and glamour parties.

Food Allergies/Skin Allergies: It is the responsibility of the client to check with party guests for specific food allergies. In the case of a guests that has severe food allergies, we suggest that either you provide an alternate menu for that child. It is also the responsibility of the client to check with the guests for skin allergies or sensitivities. This is in regard to the make-up/glitter and our Spa parties.

Minimum/Maximum attendance: Party packages are customized for a minimum of 8 guests (including the birthday girl) and a maximum of 12 guests (including the birthday girl). In the event you have less than eight you will still be charged for the package for 8 girls. We do provide parties for more than 12 with prior consent. Extra hostess fees will apply.

Siblings of guests: Siblings that participate must be included in the final guest count.

Adults at party: Parents are always welcome and add to the energy at our parties. We do ask that keep your conversation level low as to keep the focus on the party. This allows for less distraction for our girly-girls. Parents of the birthday girl are required to stay and attend to any special needs.

Inclement weather/illness: girly-girl partea’s reserves the right to reschedule your party in cases of sever weather, illness or circumstances out of our control. We will gladly work with you to reschedule your party for an alternate date if you need to cancel due to theses reasons. Deposits are non-refundable. If your party includes food/beverages there will be additional fees.

Late Arrivals: Our parties begin promply at the contracted time. Please clearly inform your guests that timeliness is important. To ensure the least disruption to your party guests that arrive late will join the party where we have progressed.

Discipline and Non-Participation: We ask that parents please monitor disruptive behavior during the party. Our party hostesses primary responsibility is to keep the flow of the party.

Damage: We are aware that accidents do happen, however, in the event of excessive damage clients will be held responsible. This applies to girl-girl partea's property, including costumes.

Catering Issues: If you choose to provide your own food at the party please get your menu approved beforehand. In consideration of our costumes and props please do not serve beverages such as Kool aid or Fruit Punch. Please do not served dark sauces, i.e. tomato sauce.

Client Obligations:
- Provide tables for crafts and tea party if applicable.
- Provide safe, clean areas for activites: craft area, make-up and dressing area, and an area for ceremonies.
- Provide a gathering space for parents or the guests if you want them to stay
- Provide use of kitchen and sink depending on party selection.
- Provide a smoke free environment.
- Please remain with the party at all times.
- Provide parking near entrance for loading and unloading.

Client Peace of Mind: Be rest assured that we use all neccesary hygiene practices. All of our hair implements/spa items are cleaned and disinfected before, during and after each guest/party. We use barbicide and anti-bacterial products.

Before reserving your party please read and understand our policies. If you have any questions or concerns regarding our policies please address these issues before signing our contract.

Character Visit: $125 with a party package, $175 without party. 2nd and 3rd princess's $100

A princess of your choice will appear at your party for 45min. to an hour. She will bring a special gift for the birthday princess, conduct a special story time and spend one-on-one time with each princess at the party. She will conduct a special coronation ceremony where your birthday girl will receive a personalized sash and rhinestone tiara. There will be craft time and our princess will paint each girls fingernails! Photo opportunities with each princess. The princess will also have a special birthday dance with the birthday princess.
You choose from Princess Cindy, The Sleeping Princess, Princess Bella, The Snow Princess, The Mermaid Princess and our newest addition, The Tiana Frog Princess. Ask about our Arabian princess and TINK coming soon!

Do you want to go "over the top" for your girly-girl? Add any of these options to the party of your choice!

Chocolate Fountain: $50.00 Add a decadent chocolate fountain to any party. Your fountain will include fruit, marshmallows, and pretzel rods.

Karaoke: $30.00 We will bring a plug-in karaoke with 2 microphones for added fun at your party of choice. Karaoke choices include but not limited to: Hannah Montana, Cheetah Girls, High School Musical 1&2!

Character Visit: $125 with a party package, $175 without 2nd and 3rd princess's $100 A princess of your choice will appear at your party for one hour. Make-Over Session: $30.00 This can be added on to Haleigh's Spa Party. We give each of your guests a make-over, they will leave the party with just the right finishing touch! This will add approxamitely 30 minutes of party time.

Tables and Chairs: We have a limited supply of tables and chairs that we can provide. Please inform us if you need us to provide any chairs of tables and we can let you know if we can accomodate your needs.

TABLES: $6.00 each

CHAIRS: $2.00 each

UPGRADES :

CRAFT UPGRADE: You can upgrade our craft session to include a special stuffable fluffable friend! Choose your friend and each guest will take stuff and take home their special friend to remember your daughters special day! This can be added on to any party as a craft upgrade.

Friend of your choice: $12.50 each

Thanks so much for helping to make Hanna's birthday party such a fabulous time!! I couldn't get over how you transformed my house into a dazzling display of pink, purple, satin, sequins, feathers and all things girly. Hanna and her party guests were thrilled and mesmerized by all the wonderful costumes, accessories, and decorations. You two are so wonderful at what you do, and it's obvious that you really enjoy doing it. Initially I was a little disappointed that the party guests were so reluctant to sing and dance. After all, I assumed that the girls would have the most fun dancing and singing along with the Karaoke machine. Perhaps due to their age (5 and 6 years old), they were a little shy. However, I realized toward the end of the party that the girls did indeed have a fabulous time. The fun for them was not the singing and dancing----it was getting dressed up! The girls loved picking out their glamour girl outfits and finding the perfect shoes, bag, and jewelery to go with it. They adored having their hair styled, their make up applied, and their nails painted.Best of all-- they had a blast walking the RED CARPET!! The party was a wonderful, joyous occasion and the perfect way to celebrate my little diva's 6th birthday!! Thanks for making it possible.

We went to see Cinderella at the Alhambra and after the show Kenlyn said to me, Mommy- that’s not the real Cinderella. Not once did any of the girls think that about Girly-Girl’s “Cinderella” – It truly makes a difference. She was amazing with my little Princesses and Knights and really did a great job with them!

Amelia told me about her Girly Girl Parteas about 2 years ago when my daughter was only 2. She told me to wait a couple years. With Sophie about to turn 4..I remembered Amelia's party business. When Sophie saw the room set up and her friends begin to file in her eyes were huge with excitement - trying to take it all in. Watching her become transformed into a "princess" was magical. Girly-girl Partea’s did a phenomenal job with Nija’s Princess Spa Partea. It was a pleasure working with Amelia, Shelly and their staff. They’re professionally demeanor made the event a smooth process. They totally exceeded my expectations. They were extremely accommodating to all of my wishes; I couldn’t decide between the Princess Partea and the Spa Partea, they were able to provide the best of both packages and everything from the beginning to the end was done flawlessly. My daughter often spoke about wanting a Princess Party, they were able to make it happen even though at that moment Princess Tiana was not one of the Princesses they had available since the movie was just in-theaters a month prior to the party. They transformed my house into an enchanted fairytale land fit for a princess. I highly recommend this dynamitic duo to host your upcoming event. The entire staff was very attentive to each of the girls needs and made them feel extra special. Nija’s 7th birthday party with Girly-girl Partea’s was definitely worth every penny spent!!!!!

Dear Shelly and Amelia,

My daughter had the most magical Princess Party for her 5th birthday. It was everything she had been planning, for a year, with her friends, and so much more. Yes, they plan at that age. The girls had a grand selection of Princess gowns and beautiful shoes to choose from as they arrived. Their hair, makeup, and nails were done with perfection. Our "special guest" arrived, with flowers in hand for the birthday girl, and read a special Princess book to the girls.

That was only the beginning. The girls made their own Princess crowns to take home and shared a special "Royal Coronation" down the red carpet with our "special guest". She pinned each of them a custom Princess sash with their name and a gave them a very special necklace with their initial. The pictures you took were amazing and captured the mood of the party!

I'm not sure who enjoyed the party more, the girls or their moms (and a couple very dedicated dads). All in all, it was a wondeful experience that you both handled, effortlessly.

New business specializes in themed birthday parties for young girls

It's not easy to hold the attention of a group of squealing 8-year-olds loaded with birthday cake, but Amelia Davis and Shelly Rich have the gift.
They also have the supplies, whether their pint-sized clients dream of being princesses, celebrities or pampered spa patrons.

That's why parents in St. Johns County are hiring them to handle their daughters' birthday parties, from the entertainment to the favors to the food and tablescapes. The stay-at-home moms from St. Johns Glen are the co-founders of Girly-Girl Parteas, a new business specializing in themed children's parties.
"The idea started in Amelia's head and then we just kind of went crazy," Rich said. "We both have young children, and we wanted to be able to stay home with them. This allowed us to do that while still making a little money."
Princess parties, spa parties and other themed "girly" parties are catching on all over the U.S., giving birthday girls and their friends an excuse to dress up and play make believe or at least to feel pampered.
But birthday services weren't available in St. Johns County until now, Rich said. Once Girl-Girl Parteas opened for business, word spread quickly, and the women soon found themselves booked every weekend.
Olivia Driscoll, 8, knew she wanted Girly-Girl Parteas to handle her birthday celebration as soon as she heard about their spa parties.
On a recent Friday night, the Timberlin Creek Elementary School second-grader invited eight of her best friends to join her for the pampering session at her St. Johns Golf and Country Club home.
The treatment began with the girls standing in a line giggling, squeaking and jumping up and down as they waited their turns to put on a white robe and pink flip-flops. Then they crowded around the Driscoll family's kitchen table to peer into tulip-shaped mirrors and put on face masks.
"This is all about pampering yourselves. Put it on like icing, really thick," Davis told the girls as she squirted her homemade mask mixture into each of their hands. The masks are made of all natural, edible ingredients.
The girls obediently smeared the gooey masks on their faces, staring in the mirrors all the while.
Then Davis led them to the living room, where they laid on the floor, covered their eyes with cucumbers "to prevent puffiness" and listened to relaxation music as the masks dried.
"You'll look a year younger when you're done with this," Davis said in a soft voice as the girls followed her command to take deep, cleansing breaths.
When time was up, the girls wiped their faces clean with towels.
"You look a LOT better," one girl told Olivia after examining her friend's face.
Next, the girls took turns having Davis paint their nails while Rich lead the others in an activity making their own body glitter.
"This is just so different," Olivia's mother, Renee', said. "The more we talked about it, the more I liked the idea."
At the craft table, the girls each received plastic bags with clear aloe vera in them. Each girl chose a colored glitter and a fruity scent to mix into the bag.
Then they enlisted Olivia's dad, Bill, for help as they squeezed every last drop of their homemade body glitter into decorated containers.
"My hands are going to smell like fruit for a while and sparkle," the dad said after he dutifully assisted them.
Davis and Rich finished the session with popcorn, strawberry smoothies and pedicures. The girls wiggled their toes in warm foot baths while they munched on their snacks. Then Davis dried, lotioned and massaged each of their feet, and Rich followed with toenail polish.
"This is like, the best birthday party ever," Olivia's friend Bella Parra said as she munched her popcorn and soaked her toes.
Olivia's elder sister, Kate, motioned to their mother and whispered in her ear.
The mom laughed and said, "Kate's already asking me to book her party."
Princess Party
The next day, Girly-Girl Parteas was back in full swing, this time with a princess party for a 4-year-old. But not just any 4-year-old: it was Davis's daughter, Mia's birthday.
A dozen girls showed up for the party, dressed in swimsuits or leotards that would fit comfortably under princess attire. Then each girl chose a poofy princess dress, jewelry and plastic high heels to wear for the party.
That was just the beginning of their princess getups.
Each of the girls had a turn having her makeup and hair done by the party hostesses, then each had her nails painted. When they were finished, each was wearing a crown, carrying a wand and looking glamorous.
They crowded into the Davis living room, which was set up with a tall, cardboard castle and full-length mirrors. Each girl took a turn staring at her new, princess-like image.
The girls made castle- and crown-shaped magnets to take home with them. Then they settled down together for a group photo.
Just as they were about to scramble in different directions, there was a knock at the door and in walked a woman who was introduced as the Princess Belle.
Dressed in the same yellow gown Princess Belle wore in Beauty and the Beast, the woman looked and played the part. She delivered balloons and a rose to the birthday girl, then posed for a photo with each individual girl.
The children were very quiet and bashful, watching the princess's every move.
"We're twins!" one girl, who was also wearing a yellow gown, delighted when it was her turn to sit with the princess. Another girl draped her legs over the woman's lap and threw her arms around her.
Once each girl had had her turn, the woman read a story about princesses and politeness to the children.
When she turned to a page showing Belle and the Beast, she exclaimed, "Oh! There I am!"
The girls giggled with delight.
The princess also held a "grand coronation" ceremony, during which she dubbed each girl a princess and draped sashes with the girls' names on them over their shoulders.
When it was time for snacks and cupcakes, the princess sat next to Mia as she blew out her candles.
The birthday girl dined with her friends on tea sandwiches, fruit, cheese and crackers. They drank lemonade from fancy china teacups and finished off with dessert.
Davis and Rich were busy keeping the party moving smoothly from beginning to end. Several moms stayed for the whole party so they could watch. They gushed about the hostesses' attention to detail, commenting that a lot of work goes into the parties they throw.
But one mom had a serious suggestion: she wants Girly-Girl Parteas to start offering a new party perhaps, with the addition of a little wine for grown-ups.
With birthdays already filling up every weekend, unfortunately for that mom, it looks like Davis' and Rich's younger clients will keep them busy enough.

The Parties
Girly-Girl Parteas has become a hit in northern St. Johns County, handling all the details of themed birthday parties. Each party package includes two hostesses, background music, digital photos of the party, setup and cleanup. Here are the rates for each party and what they include:

Princess Party: $250 for the first eight girls, then $15 for each additional girl. Recommended for ages 4 to 7, this 90-minute party service includes costumes, beauty treatments, a craft, a "royal coronation" with personalized sashes for each girl to take home, and necklace favors. The party scene is decorated with a "castle" and red carpet.

Spa Party: $250 for the first eight girls, then $15 for each additional girl. Recommended for ages 7 and up, this 90-minute party includes facials, manicures, foot baths and pedicures while attendees wear spa robes, hair bands and flip-flops. Attendees snack on smoothies and popcorn and take home personalized water bottles, a homemade body glitter craft and necklace favors.

Red Carpet Party: $250 for the first eight girls, then $15 for each additional girl. This party includes dcor to transform the party setting into a "VIP flat." Party-goers wear shades, necklaces and boas while they're treated to manicures, a make-over session, a "Star Game" and a creative activity. Take home a necklace favor, personalized goblet and craft.

Upgrade: Any one of the parties can be upgraded to a two-hour party with complete table settings and food taken care of. For $350 for the first eight girls, then $20 for each additional girl, it includes a "tablescape" of linens and satin chair covers with tulle accents, china, utensils, snacks, drinks and cupcakes.

A la Carte: Several extra options are available. Karaoke can be added to spa and princess parties for $30. A character visit from Cinderella, Princess Belle or Sleeping Beauty costs $100. Princess dresses, tiaras, monogrammed purses and monogrammed spa robes are also available for purchase.
